Think of a it as a creativity blitz—and everyone’s invited. The second annual "Artists' Exposed" event will bring twenty artists out of the relative safety of their private studios to get together and demonstrate their art under one roof in a pop-up style event. “Artists' Exposed” is created to attract die-hard art fans, aspiring artists or collectors, or the simply curious.
I dreamed of my childhood home in Bluff Park. I was walking down Tyler Road and hiked to a place that I used to enjoy with my brother. In the dream it was very vivid and instead of being cool and welcoming, Drip Rock seemed to be on fire. The dream was so powerful, that I felt compelled to capture its energy through my painting. This piece will be among the 20+ paintings that will be featured in my show at The Gallery at Flat Rock August 16th to September 3rd.

2 Day Workshop
This two day workshop is for painters new to acrylics or for those who want a different approach to this versatile medium. Not only will the artist explore pure transparent layering, but will also see how to add collage and printmaking to their work. Artists are encouraged to bring inexpensive sketchbooks and soft pencils, but all other supplies are provided. Enjoy an afternoon with others as you discover your creativity in these two classes.
